My client is a multi-national company with their R&D centre of excellence in based in Berkshire. They work in the research, development and manufacture of novel drug products, and due to continued growth are looking to hire an Analytical Chemistry Technician. In this role you would facilitate new product development & manufacture through the provision of analytical support, maintaining the smooth running of the laboratory.
Working in a specialist team, the Analytical Chemistry Technician will perform routine testing following SOP, in house and pharmacopeia methods. In this role you will maintain laboratory standards working closely to support administration and projects requiring HPLC, FTIR, and NMR analysis.
Responsibilities of the Analytical Chemistry Technician include:
- Prepare reagents and samples for instrumental analysis and perform Wet Chemistry techniques
- Interpreting analytical data
- Engage with training and development opportunities in line with business needs
- Follow SOPs and varied in house, client or pharmacopeia methods as required.
- Support maintenance and instrument integrity administration across of HPLC, UPLC, NMR, LCMS, UV and IR.
To be considered for the Analytical Chemist role, you will need the following skills and experience;
- Previous experience in a Analytical testing lab (e.g Placement year)
- A - levels, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Chemistry, Analytical Science (or related subject)
- Experience working with HPLC, UV, FTIR in a GMP/UKAS setting is advantageous
- Understanding of cleaning validation and verification methods is desirable
- Excellent communication, team working and organisation skills are essential
