Job Title: Business Development Manager
Location: North East England (Hybrid working available)
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Bonus 
Sector: Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical

Are you a commercially driven individual with a passion for life sciences and innovation? Do you have a proven track record of building client relationships and driving business growth?

We’re currently working with a cutting-edge life science company based in the North East, known for their innovative solutions and collaborative approach to scientific development. As they continue to grow, they are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to help drive new partnerships, identify commercial opportunities, and support the expansion of their service offering across the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the life science sector, including biotech, pharma, and academic partners

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the key point of contact throughout the sales cycle

  • Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and networking events

  • Collaborate with technical and project teams to tailor proposals to client needs

  • Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and market intelligence to inform strategy

  • Support marketing initiatives and contribute to the overall growth strategy

About You:

  • A degree in a life science-related subject or proven experience in a business development, sales or commercial role within the life sciences

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • Comfortable working autonomously and as part of a collaborative team

  • Willingness to travel.
