Business Development Manager - Pharmaceuticals

A Pharmaceutical Business Development Manager (East Coast) is required to work closely with the Business Development Director and wider Business Development team to further improve on the business development strategy, as well as generate new business and accounts through contacting and meeting with prospective customers within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors across the East coast.

Managing and developing relationships with existing customers with an aim to positively impact sales and increase market share with the services provided by the organisation. Increasing sales year on year whilst maintaining strong customer relations and increasing market share.

 

Job Specific Responsibilities:

  • To have a comprehensive knowledge of the business regarding technical specifications, prices, features, benefits, operational processes and sales strategies.
  • To promote the range of contract manufacture services.
  • Contacting new and existing business opportunities with an aim to positively impact sales.
  • Ability to work with people at all levels.
  • Holding regular business meetings with accounts to review performance and develop customer plans to increase business and promote supplier compliance.
  • To act with integrity and ethics at all times, taking every opportunity to promote the company and its values to increase its standing within the market.
  • Negotiating terms to secure new and repeat business including contract negotiation.
  • Identifying new business opportunities for the company.

 

Essential Requirements:

 

  • A background in Chemistry or closely related subject. 
  • Impressive, demonstrable track record and skills/experience gained within a similar position(s), at a similar level.
  • Experience gained within the pharmaceutical sales industry.
  • Highly customer focused and passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
  • Competitive and results driven.
  • Commercially astute with integrity.
  • Ability to achieve and maintain high standards.
  • Ability to prioritise, demonstrating first class organisational and time management skills.
