Clinical Project Manager – Expanded Access (Oncology)

Location: Hybrid
Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

CY Partners are recruiting on behalf of a leading global pharmaceutical organisation for an experienced Clinical Project Manager looking to apply their clinical operations expertise in a strategic patient access role.

This is an exciting opportunity to move into the growing field of Expanded Access and Compassionate Use programmes, where you'll lead complex, global projects that enable patients with serious illnesses to access investigational oncology medicines before commercial approval.

If you have experience delivering global clinical studies, managing multiple stakeholders and vendors, and driving projects from planning through execution, this role offers the opportunity to broaden your career while continuing to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

The Role

As Expanded Access Manager, you will lead the planning and operational delivery of global Expanded Access and Compassionate Use programmes. Working closely with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs and external partners, you will ensure programmes are delivered efficiently, compliantly and with a patient-first approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of global Expanded Access and Compassionate Use programmes.
  • Develop project plans and oversee programme execution from initial physician request through to programme completion or transition.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Safety, Supply Chain and external vendors.
  • Manage timelines, risks, budgets and programme milestones to ensure successful delivery.
  • Oversee vendor selection, performance and ongoing relationships.
  • Monitor programme utilisation and provide regular updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvements and operational excellence across patient access programmes.

About You

We're particularly interested in hearing from Clinical Project Managers or Clinical Operations professionals with experience leading complex clinical programmes.

You'll ideally have:

  • A degree in Life Sciences or a related scientific discipline.
  • Experience managing global or regional clinical trials within a pharmaceutical, biotech or CRO environment.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, risk management, budgeting and stakeholder coordination.
  • Experience managing external vendors and cross-functional project teams.
  • Oncology experience is highly desirable, although candidates with experience in other therapeutic areas are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of GCP and clinical development processes.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced global environment.

Why Apply?

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Clinical Project Manager to transition into a highly visible global position focused on patient access rather than traditional clinical trial delivery. You'll work with international teams, influence strategic programmes and help deliver innovative oncology treatments to patients who have limited treatment options.

If you're an experienced Clinical Project Manager looking for your next challenge and want to use your project leadership skills to help improve patient access to innovative medicines, we'd love to hear from you.

We look forward to receiving your application.
