CY Partners are proud to represent an innovative pharmaceutical research organisation, which is actively engaged in a suite of services in translational drug discovery and development. Working in their facilities in London, they run research programs which include manufacturing medicinal compounds to support drug discovery, clinical research and development.
Responsibilities of the Cyclotron Engineer:
- Working on the frontlines of innovation, operating and maintaining multiple cyclotrons and their associated systems.
- Ordering and maintaining cyclotron spare parts and if required, designing and producing complex electro-mechanical equipment.
- Ensuring accurate documentation control (SOP's, Records) and full compliance across cyclotrons and their systems to stringent regulatory standards.
- Provide basic engineering support to cross departmental teams.
- Contributing directly to improving healthcare globally by working to support isotope and radiopharmaceutical production and distribution for clinical trials and research.
- Leading a skilled team in a supportive and collaborative environment, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and success.
What you'll bring:
- A passion for engineering and technology, with a degree (or equivalent) in electronics, mechanical engineering, or related field.
- Demonstrable experience in cyclotron operation and maintenance for PET radiochemical production, including radioactive material handling.
- A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to safety, compliance, and quality .
- Leadership and communication skills, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive and proactive attitude, eager to learn, grow, and contribute to something meaningful.
- Proven delivery of automated systems and experience of developing targetry is highly desirable.
