HSE Technician

Greater Manchester

£35,000 – £45,000

CY Partners are recruiting for a HSE Technician to join a manufacturer of Speciality Chemicals based in Greater Manchester. Supplying an impressive range of speciality chemicals and exporting globally, the company has grown consistently and has ambitious plans for the future.

As a result of this, they are looking to hire a HSE Technician to join their HSE team in Manchester.  This would be an ideal position for a NEBOSH qualified HSE professional looking for long term career development with a growing business.

 

The Role:

As the HSE Technician you will be responsible for all health, safety, and environmental initiatives within the company, driving a safety conscious culture and ensuring regulatory compliance. Key duties will include:

  • Monitoring HSE performance metrics, analysing data to produce regular reports for management and to drive continuous improvement.
  • Working closely with the HSE team and department heads to promote a pro-active safety culture and support the continues site accreditations to ISO9001, 14001, 45001, EFfCI, RSPO, Kosher etc.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards, implement corrective actions, and prevent accidents or incidents.
  • Contribute to & support process safety assessments including PHA, HAZOP, LOPA and SIL, and participate in meetings with external agencies such as the HSE & EA etc.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and share learnings to prevent future occurrences.

 

Required:

  • A NEBOSH Certificate or similar HSE Qualifications
  • Previous HSE experience ideally within a COMAH / Chemical manufacturing environment
  • Proven knowledge of HSE regulations, codes of practice, and industry standards.
  • A keen eye for detail with the capacity to identify & solve complex safety issues.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to gain “buy in” and affect cultural change.
