Junior Chemist

Location: North East of England

Salary: £24,000

CY Partners is seeking a Junior Chemist to join a research focused Pharmaceutical manufacturer based in the North East. This is a permanent position and an exciting opportunity for a candidate with a background in Chemistry.

• Performing experimental work at up to kilo scale chemistry.
• Carry out experimental work in the GMP laboratory area using both standard laboratory equipment and equipment up to 50L scale.
• Completing reports on practical work and taking ownership of own projects
• Performing cleaning of equipment and sanitizing of GMP areas following approved practices and procedures
• Ensuring high standards of housekeeping and maintaining cleaning records for areas and equipment

Role Requirements:

• BSc/MSc/MChem in Chemistry or equivalent
• Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with other departments
• Interest in organic synthesis and practical experimentation
