Lab Technician

CY Partners are working with a chemicals company to recruit a Contract Lab Technician. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply analytical chemistry expertise within a dynamic industry environment. The successful candidate will be integral to quality control operations, ensuring product compliance and maintaining  standards. This is a contract role based near Carlisle, with a friendly and collaborative team that values science and precision.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine analytical tests on chemical products.
• Ensure laboratory testing adheres to internal quality standards and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Document results accurately and prepare comprehensive reports for review and compliance purposes.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are calibrated and functioning correctly.
• Collaborate with production and R&D teams to troubleshoot quality issues and provide technical support.
• Ensure that all statutory and safety regulations are strictly followed within the laboratory environment.

Requirements:

• A BSc in a laboratory focussed degree or experience in a laboratory environment
• Knowledge of analytical techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team.
