Permanent, Full-Time

£26,000 p/a

Would you like to gain experience working within a GMP regulated laboratory for a reputable life science company?

 

My client is recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to support the Quality Control team. This is an entry-level role that does not require previous industry experience. The successful candidate will be given full training in a variety of laboratory practices, including calibrating pipettes and processing of clinical samples.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Laboratory Technician will include;

  • Receipt and collection of clinical samples.
  • Processing of samples in line with laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
  • Supporting laboratory housekeeping activities, including equipment maintenance and calibration.
  • Monitoring stock and ordering of supplies.
  • Identifying improvements and updating SOP’s.
  • Administrative tasks, such as data entry, records archiving, and taking minutes.
  • Ensuring compliance to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).

 

To be considered for this Laboratory Technician vacancy you will need the following skills and experience;

  • Minimum GCSE in Science, English, and Maths grades 9 to 4 (or equivalent experience)
  • Excellent communication skills, the ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
  • Computer literacy, ability to use Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level.
  • Experience pipetting and calibrating laboratory equipment is desirable.
  • Experience working within a regulated laboratory is beneficial.
