Our client, a leader in delivering high quality, processed biological materials is seeking a talented Microbiologist to join their growing team. In this exciting opportunity, you'll conduct a wide range of microbiological tests on biological samples, ensuring quality and sterility through GMP compliance and SOP adherence.
As a Microbiology Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting a wide range of microbiological tests and environmental sampling following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and GMP guidelines.
- Analysing and reporting results.
- Reporting any deviations, out-of-specification results, and assisting with investigations.
- Maintaining cleanliness, calibration, and functionality of laboratory equipment.
- Preparing reagents, standards, and samples.
- Adhering to laboratory safety protocols and contributing to improving safety practices.
- Organizing assigned work activities, reporting any issues or delays to the laboratory management in a timely manner.
- Participating in internal audits to ensure compliance with GMP regulations and record-keeping practices.
- Maintaining accurate and complete laboratory records in accordance with established procedures.
To be considered as a Microbiology Analyst, you will need the following:
- A BSc degree in Microbiology or a closely related field.
- A strong understanding of microbiological principles and aseptic techniques.
- Experience in performing routine microbiology techniques, such as sterility testing, endotoxin testing, bioburden testing, microbial enumeration, microscopy & microbial identification
- Proficiency in using various microbiological equipment and software (e.g., LIMS - Laboratory Information Management System).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and troubleshoot issues.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues and report findings clearly.
This is a shift role, hours are 6am-6pm/6pm-6am on rotation.
