Our client, a leader in delivering high quality, processed biological materials is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Batch Release Officer to join their dynamic team. In this role, the successful applicant will be responsible for reviewing and ensuring the completeness of batch records for final disposition, as well as working closely with manufacturing to resolve any discrepancies and support the timely release of batches.
As a QA Batch Release Officer, you will be responsible for:
• Act as the primary QA contact for batch release and document review.
• Review and assess deviations and changes related to batch release, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations.
• Conduct thorough GMP reviews of all batch documentation.
• Identify and escalate significant GMP and patient safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate batch review records and participate in batch release monitoring activities.
• Utilise Quality Management Systems (e.g., LIMS, IFS, TrackWise) to support the batch review process.
• Assist with regulatory and customer audits.
• Undertake additional tasks assigned by QA Management to support departmental objectives.
• Identify documentation errors and non-conformances in batch records.
• Conduct live reviews in manufacturing areas (as required).
To be considered as a QA Batch Release Officer, you will need the following:
• A degree-level qualification in a scientific discipline
• A strong understanding of GMP principles and regulations.
• Experience working in a pharmaceutical environment.
• A meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
• Experience with documentation and quality management systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Please not that this is an alternating shift role: 7am - 3pm & 11am – 7pm
