As a Research & Development Scientist, you will be responsible for developing assays and electrophoresis tests through taking on new projects, as well as working cross-functionally with QC teams and software development.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Take on new projects focused on developing electrophoresis tests.
- Review existing projects and report findings.
- Identify deliverables and schedule new work requests.
- Assist with compiling technical documentation in line with regulatory standards.
- Identify and confirm issues associated with product performance reported by QC and Technical teams. As well as investigating causes.
- Implement and update processes with manufacturing and QC teams to rectify issues.
- Assist with creating, implementing and reviewing of Quality System Procedures relating to product validation and verification.
- Liaise with Software Development to develop software. Identifying and reporting any bugs to the team. Testing of patches with fixes and improvements, completed prior to customer release.
- Maintain all Software and patch documentation through development process.
- Update and test method files and test Firmware releases prior to customer release.
- Maintain Product Test Files.
- Maintain R&D department, including stock management and ordering of supplies.
About you:
- You will hold a relevant scientific degree (Life Sciences or Chemistry) to BSc standard or above.
- Familiar with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
- A knowledge of Electrophoresis.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and time management.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
- Demonstrate ability to priority plan.
- Competent in the use of the Internet and Microsoft software.
- Desirable experience of working within a laboratory or R&D setting.
