Safety Scientist – 12-Month Contract
Location: (Hybrid – UK)

Pay Rate - £505 - £389 p/d

CY Partners are excited to support a leading global pharmaceutical organisation in the search for an experienced Safety Scientist to join their team on a 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid pharmacovigilance experience to step into a role that directly contributes to the safe use of medicines worldwide.

 

The Opportunity

As a Safety Scientist, you’ll play a key role in monitoring and evaluating the safety profile of innovative therapies, with work spanning late-stage development through to post-marketing use. You’ll support routine PV activities, contribute to safety signal detection and evaluation, and deliver high-quality safety documentation for global regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor safety data for assigned products and contribute to benefit–risk assessments.

  • Support routine pharmacovigilance activities, including literature review and signal detection.

  • Assist in the evaluation of safety signals and preparation of clear, concise review documents.

  • Author or support the creation of essential regulatory submissions (e.g., DSURs, PBRERs, Risk Management Plans).

  • Ensure safety documentation is accurate, compliant, and delivered to agreed timelines.

  • Collaborate with safety physicians, regulatory colleagues, and cross-functional partners.

 

About You

We are looking for someone who brings proven experience in pharmacovigilance within a major pharmaceutical company, along with:

  • A degree in a biomedical or healthcare discipline.

  • Experience in scientific literature review, data analysis, and interpretation.

  • Strong medical/scientific writing skills.

  • Understanding of pharmacovigilance principles, safety signal evaluation, and causality assessment.

  • Working knowledge of drug development and approval processes.

  • Familiarity with safety systems or signal detection tools (advantageous).
