Scheduling Administrator

Permanent Position

£26,000 to £28,000 annually

Based in Central London

 

Are you an organised professional with significant experience in administration?

Would you like to work for a leading London-based clinical research organisation with a commitment to excellence and innovation?

My client are a leading clinical and laboratory service provider, specialising in a range of therapeutic areas and with the patient at the heart of their research. Using their specialist clinical trial platform, they play a key role in drug and vaccine development and are currently experiencing an impressive period of growth so are investing heavily in their state of the art clinical facilities in Central London. As a result, they are looking to expand their clinical trial team, through bringing on board a Scheduling Administrator – Clinical Research. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling rotas to ensure all sites within clinical operations are appropriately staffed, in addition to aiding with capacity planning, accurate forecasting, and other administrative tasks.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Scheduling Administrator will include:

  • Manage monthly rotas according to established standards.
  • Adherence to ICH-GCP (Good Clinical Practice) at all times.
  • Collaborate with project teams to determine resourcing requirements, identifying, and implementing possible efficiencies, and maximising resource utilisation.
  • Build new study schedules into the system and manage staffing levels throughout live studies by ensuring allocated staff are appropriately trained to execute the task, and all study assessments are covered.
  • Ensure Clinical Operations staff receive required documentation to perform their daily duties.
  • Coordinate emergency on-call rota and liaise with external providers.
  • Maintain good working relationships across different departments and accurate records of staffing levels and bed utilisation.
  • Provide resource plans and costing figures for upcoming studies.

 

To be considered for this Scheduling Administrator vacancy, you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Prior working experience within administration / documentation.
  • Educated to degree-level (or equivalent working experience) in a relevant life science discipline such as Biology, Pharmacology, Physiology, Sports Science, Biomedical Science etc. is highly desirable.
  • Effective communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong Proficiency in computer skills and software packages (Microsoft Word and Excel or equivalent).
  • A good understanding of UK healthcare practices, including ICH-GCP would be advantageous.
  • Capability to work independently and within a wider team to ensure the smooth running of the clinic and studies.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative to identify and resolve problems.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within clinical research or other healthcare provision.
