Are you a passionate Protein Scientist eager to contribute to ground breaking drug discovery research? We're seeking a talented individual to join a leading Biotechnology Organisation in Cambridge.
The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced biology team specialising in projects like recombinant protein production, structural biology, biophysics, enzymology, and cellular pharmacology.
As a Senior Protein Scientist, you will be responsible for the following:
- Planning and executing protein production projects for structural or biophysical analysis.
- Troubleshooting and optimising protein expression.
- Developing, troubleshooting, and optimising protein purification using AKTA systems.
- Generating high-quality protein data for clients involved in Drug Discovery projects.
- Preparing and delivering reports.
- Collaborating effectively with a team of scientists across various disciplines.
To be considered for the Senior Protein Scientist role you will need the following experience
- Experience in protein expression in different systems (bacterial, insect or mammalian).
- Experience in protein purification and optimisation using AKTA systems
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple projects while maintaining high-quality throughput.
- Proactive problem solving skills and a solutions oriented approach.
- Experience in membrane protein production, membrane protein structural analysis (X-ray crystallography or CryoEM), and recombinant antibody production is a plus.
